PEOPLE OF THE WEST

People of the West is a ten-part documentary series that centers on Native Californians telling their own stories—on their own terms, from the perspective of the tribes themselves. For generations, these histories have too often been filtered through outsiders. This series is a correction: a platform for lived truth, cultural memory, and the voices that have always been the rightful authors. under the advisement and deep collaboration with those in the native community, I had the privilege of co-directing this powerful project and helping bring it to the screen with the care it deserves. and while so many of these stories have remained unknown...
