Hi, I’m Phillip Montgomery a Los Angeles–based creative director, editor, producer, writer, and filmmaker with years of experience developing original and branded content across film, television, digital, and experiential platforms. With a deep understanding of both creative and operational strategy, I’ve led award-winning campaigns for brands including Google, Uber, Jack Daniel’s, Lexus, Guinness, IBM, Deloitte, and more, in partnership with top agencies such as BBDO, FCB, and 72 & Sunny. Some of my achievements include receiving the Silver and Bronze Cannes Lions in 2018 for an experiential campaign we created for the 60th Anniversary Grammy Awards. I’ve been honored with the Cannes New Director Award for the writing, directing and producing of the award winning branded campaign on mothers of Olympic athletes sponsored by Procter & Gamble for the 2012 and 2014 Olympic Games. I’m a creative leader known for developing concepts that elevate brands by serving both the client’s vision and the audience’s truth. It’s a people-first approach to storytelling, ensuring every project resonates with purpose, clarity, and impact. His strength lies in leading multidisciplinary teams, elevating creative through meaningful storytelling, and building scalable content systems that deliver both culturally and commercially.

As a filmmaker, my work spans both scripted and documentary formats, with projects premiering at top festivals including the New York Film Festival. My feature documentary #ReGENERATION, narrated by Ryan Gosling, explored the state of activism in modern America and received critical acclaim across the festival circuit. I’ve also directed episodic television for PARAMOUNT+ and the HISTORY Channel, and my short film BIG BOY PANTS, starring Finn Wittrock, was selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick.
